Porthole

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.”

porthole: (n.) a circular window used to admit light and air in.

Just like a porthole in a submarine vessel, as are our eyes (mind). We either allow light or darkness- there is no in between. We resemble what we revere- either for ruin or for restoration. If we focus on negativity and destruction then that is what we become ourselves which impacts others. If we focus on wholesome doctrine (truth, love, peace, etc) then we that is what we become which also impacts others. Light radiates inwards and outwards. If we are spiritually unhealthy then that is what we emit. That is what people see and absorb. We absorb way more than we realize as do we emit way more than realize. Be careful what you take in so you can be careful what you put out ✨
