#25 [love] Illustrated Faith Gratitude Documented 2017"For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. “This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. -Isaiah 54:7-10 (ESV) MATERIALS:

"Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?” -Isaiah 45:9 (ESV)As clay, we don’t get to choose what we are made into- that’s the Potter’s job, nay, His pleasure. He molds us and shapes us I to what He wants us to be. We are His creation so therefore He has every right to do so. I thought this was so fitting for the Trolls theme. They’re weird, they’re wonky, they’re personalities all over the place and yet we love them for who they are because they show their true colors..
. It’s not about what you’re not. Show what you’re working with. You’re enough. You have more to bring to the table than you realize. MATERIALS:
Apparently the Lord decided that I needed to wake up at 2 AM and fellowship with Him. And I did. And I'm tired. But I don't regret obeying Him one single bit. "Enough To Let Me Go" by @switchfoot has been playing in my mind for some while now but this morning it really resonated with what God had to tell me. I'm not going to even pretend that I live out a highlight reel life. Quite the opposite. There's plenty of trials, worries, and regrets. Throughout my prayer life, the Lord has been quite firm in His demand from me- "I need you to know me."
. I'm quite confident that 99% of our problems is because we don't know the Lord like we ought to. Over the years, people have fled further and further from the truth. They've been turned into Scabs. Further from being a true, dedicated Christians that we the church have been called to be. In this instance for me, I have been made aware that I belittle God. "Lord, let me hold onto this ____ (problem, fear, worry, anger, guilt, shame, regret, bitterness, anxiety etc.) because I don't truly believe that You can handle it. You can't fix it. Let me try. I know that You can but I don't believe You can." . Any one else have this problem? You hold onto that thing until you can't hold onto it anymore and you've struggled and worn yourself out trying to fight a battle you can't win. You can't fight it. He doesn't equip us to win every battle because that is His job. If we were able to win by ourselves then we would get the glory and wouldn't need God. . By not letting go of what we have no control over anyway, we insult God. He's not strong enough. He's not capable. He doesn't love us. In essence, we don't trust Him. The God of the universe who is in charge of the entire world- giving life and breath to every living person, creature, and plant is not capable of _______? If we really and truly knew who God was we would be utterly and remorsefully ashamed of even daring the thought of us mere humans having an ounce of control of our lives. . Do you love and trust Him enough to let ____ go? Or are you going to go on still pretending you are a superhuman? . Give it up and get it gone. Move forward.
