I've always loved moons and stars- the complexity and beautiful nature of the celestial galaxy should never go unappreciated. The simple fact that we humans know very little about space and how far it goes make it that much more special. My theme for my planner next year is galaxy so I figured I would start getting prepping for it by making a journal cover. It's a lot easier than it looks!

I love mandalas. They are one of the few things that force you to slow down and focus on every detail of every step and yet you only have to make one simple decision at a time- then just repeat. It can be a time consuming project depending on the amount of details but the end results are well worth it.

This was the first time I've ever hand drawn a mandala... and it took a lot longer than I expected. But it was fun! Over the course of a few doctor visits I was able to finish something with minimal supplies on Neenah Paper Astrobrights Cardstock, Eclipse Black. These neon Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight Pen Set made it worth my while too (:
