I heard this quote when I was watching an episode of The Arrow on Netflix and I fell in love with it, Thanks Maseo! (and yes, that is me. It's a picture that got printed way too big for another project by mistake.)

I really love the colors in this one! I pulled out my cheap chalky watercolors that I never use and I'm really surprised how smooth it turned out. Stamped the words on some recycled cardboard (:

All the Spiders

In the Halloween 90% off clearance section I found a bunch of paper spider curtains and plastic spider confetti. It took quite a while and lot of glue to place these creepers on the spread. I added red paper triangles and red paint to the bigger spiders for some added interest. Oh and some red blood splatters.

I did cover this page in Scotch Masking Tape just in case the spiders don't stick as well in the future- don't want these suckers falling out the book later. Yikes.

Neon Feathered Mascara

Now here is an interesting one! For the background I used up some neon mascara that I've been hoarding for years! They worked terrible as a beauty product but perfect for the use of a bright pigment!

The only thing with this that I didn't expect until I started drawing on the feathers is that, even though the background is completely dry and smooth, it does have a waxy component to it. I couldn't draw easily on top of the black acrylic because it scratched away the surface which is why I used my embossing tools for scratching tools at the end.
