Land of Make Believe- Next Right (CREATIVATION 2020 Ranger Artist Spotlight Project for Dylusions)

If nothing else good came from 2019, it was that Dyan Reaveley from Ranger picked me among 4 other people to complete a project to be displayed in their Artist Spotlight display for Creativation 2020. My excitement for this was uncontainable! They sent me a box of goodies to play with to design the cover of one of her Dylusions Creative Journal. I tried to use as many different products as I could- mainly her huge line of acrylics and sprays along with her stencils and stamps. Believe me when I say this- I used every Dylusions product I own.

There's sort of a theme with this? I originally wanted to do a map- specifically a compass- but I thought that would be too boring. The complete layout is sort of like a map of an ocean in a delusional universe- with quite a few space elements too (hence all the stars!) This funky looking chick is your field guide to the Land of Make Believe. Each island is designed from each of her stencils and various shades of paint. I even gave each of the islands names.

There is a process video for this but only for half of it (coming 1/19). The other half is really just the details and it would have taken way too long to film the entire thing. It took me a few days to do the entire thing (most of it was planning and brainstorming) If you look at it enough you can mostly figure out how I designed this but of course- you're always free to ask questions!
