“Then she discovered the llama—the aggressive, funny-looking, afraid-of-nothing llama...’Llamas don’t appear to be afraid of anything,’ she said. ‘When they see something, they put their head up and walk straight toward it. That is aggressive behavior as far as the coyote is concerned, and they won’t have anything to do with that... Coyotes are opportunists, and llamas take that opportunity away.’“
. Apparently llamas know the truth of what James writes: “Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you” (4:7). The moment we sense his attack through temptation is the moment we should face it and deal with it for what it is. . When Jesus was in the desert for 40 days with no food, the devil tempted him. Some of us, after only a few hours of no food are ill as hornets. I can’t even imagine 40 days without anything. Only the Holy Spirit can provide such perseverance through an experience that intense. Despite all that, even when He was tempted He was filled up with the Word. He held his head high and didn’t give in to the devil’s crazy wiles. Because He remained in the Word, he took that opportunity of temptation away. . We too have that ability if we stay filled up. There’s never any reason that we should ever be spiritually famished. He’s given us everything we need! MATERIALS:

#17 [food] Illustrated Faith Gratitude Documented 2017“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you.” -Joel 2:26I’m personally grateful for the variety of food! We could have to eat the same thing every. single. day. God granted us not only a huge variety of organic food sources but by also allowing us to come up with an exponential amount of choices through harvesting, cooking, and preserving our food.
Next time you eat desert or drink your iced coffee, just remember that God blessed His creation with the ability of creating such wonderful things. MATERIALS:
"We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle,[c] encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." -1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 (ESV) If you approach every situation and every person with a thankful spirit- it changes how you think, how you feel and you react. Especially to adverse circumstances and relationships. Granted, that is MUCH easier said than done but well worth it.
I know over the past few years for myself, things have been very challenging. Every day seems to be more and more difficult but I know the Lord is training me to be less dependent on myself and lean more and more and even more on His unending and satisfying grace.

"I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the Lord.’” -Exodus 6:6-8Found a calendar many moons ago with gorgeous artwork... tore it apart and laminated each one for my future home. This is one the samples from the back 😍
