Read Psalm 136Psalm 136 is a tremendous reminder of just how much we have to be thankful for. If we have to be thankful for one thing, it is this- that His steadfast love endures forever. Everything that He has done and will do stems from His generous love for us and it will infinitely continue on forever and ever. This is a promised hope that we can hang onto and truly be grateful for!

"We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle,[c] encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." -1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 (ESV) If you approach every situation and every person with a thankful spirit- it changes how you think, how you feel and you react. Especially to adverse circumstances and relationships. Granted, that is MUCH easier said than done but well worth it.
I know over the past few years for myself, things have been very challenging. Every day seems to be more and more difficult but I know the Lord is training me to be less dependent on myself and lean more and more and even more on His unending and satisfying grace.

“Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God! I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me... For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are Mine... Offer to God thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” -Psalm 50* (NKJV)I found a bunch of wood slice tree circles in the copy room at work that someone obviously made too many copies of (it happens) and I snagged them from the recycling to use. I tinted it with watercolor so it wouldn't be too white to match the stenciled background I did. I also did have to cover up the scripture on this page because of the placement but I cut out the verses I wanted to use out of an old KJV Bible that had fell apart and used them here.
