“Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him; 9 on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him; he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food. But he is unchangeable, and who can turn him back? What he desires, that he does. For he will complete what he appoints for me, and many such things are in his mind. Therefore I am terrified at his presence; when I consider, I am in dread of him. God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me; yet I am not silenced because of the darkness, nor because thick darkness covers my face. -Job 23: 8-17 (ESV) Most seahorses are no bigger than your finger. This tiny fragile little creature is able to swim the entire blue and sometimes black ocean. Easy? With predators numerous predators and some big as submarines? Absolutely not.
It can feel the same way in the this big world. We can feel awefully small, incompetent and just plain hopeless and afraid. Sometimes we don’t feel like God is there- like we’re swimming this big ocean by ourselves. But He’s watching us every step of the way. He foresees the dangers ahead of us and steers us clear from destruction. It can also be a scary idea for us for what He has planned for us. The things He is able to do in our lives! He could give us cancer, cause us to lose limbs or bodily functions, lose loved ones and let loose enemies on us. But having fear of the unknown is not what He wants for us. That’s what the devil wants us to think. He wants us to worry. BUT GOD wants us to hope in Him! Trust in Him that He is our best lives intended for us. It’s not gonna be perfect. We might get swallowed by a whale or get stalked by an angry shark but God is ultimately in control. Take courage my friend. He is FOR us 💪🏻🙌🏻. MATERIALS:

“But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?" -Job 28:12-28 (ESV)13 Man does not know its worth, and it is not found in the land of the living. 14 The deep says, ‘It is not in me,’ and the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’ 15 It cannot be bought for gold, and silver cannot be weighed as its price. 16 It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire. 17 Gold and glass cannot equal it, nor can it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold. 18 No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal; the price of wisdom is above pearls. 19 The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, nor can it be valued in pure gold. 20 “From where, then, does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? 21 It is hidden from the eyes of all living and concealed from the birds of the air. 22 Abaddon and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.’ 23 “God understands the way to it, and he knows its place. 24 For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. 25 When he gave to the wind its weight and apportioned the waters by measure, 26 when he made a decree for the rain and a way for the lightning of the thunder, 27 then he saw it and declared it; he established it, and searched it out. 28 And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’” The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. Wisdom is not: knowing brilliant math equations or scientific facts; the vast unexplored areas of space or the deep sea; the psychological or emotional structure of humans or animals; it is not anything that can be summed up on earth. Wisdom is knowing who God is, knowing that God is all powerful, all knowing, all present and above all- Holy. He is perfect. Wisdom is giving God the reverence and glory and honor that He deserves. That is what a “healthy” fear is. It’s respect.
