Warrior

"But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten. But, O Lord of hosts, You who test the righteous, And see the mind and heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them; For I have pleaded my cause before You.”

I started this one many moons ago and finished a couple of weeks ago over the snow days. I was going through a tough time. Lots of changes, lots of attacks, and many battle scars. Being a Christian is NEVER easy. There is war waging inside of you all the time. There is turmoil. There is defeat. There is chaos. There is confusion.

BUT with all of that- God provides everything we need to power through. He gives us peace. He gives us truth. He gives us patience, and guidance, and long-suffering and self control to not punch somebody in the face when they’re being absolutely hateful and irrational. (We’ve all been there). He never leaves us either. He’s always right there. And to be honest, there is no telling how much He is doing and has done and will do that we don’t even know about. He provides us protection and safety and one single promise: the war has been already won. We just have daily battles we have to face with demons who know they have no promising future.

Remember your training. Remember what you have been through already in times past and that you have made it out. Remember what He taught you in those fights. It’s in our suffering that we learn the most. Don’t get caught up in the drama of day to day things. You’re a soldier. You are constantly in a battle whether you know it or not. Stay sharp. Stay focused. Keep training. Stay in the word. Don’t lose hope. Help your comrades.
