Not only is He our shield- our protector against things that are thrown at us or others intentionally trying to hurt us- He is our strength to hold onto the shield! If you’ve never picked up a shield those booger bears are heavy! You would need some serious arm strength to hold onto a shield and wield a sword during battle. Fortunately, for us, we don’t have to face the battle alone. We are completely safe in hiding behind Him! We may get a few scratches and bruises and we fall down a few times but He will never ever let us be destroyed. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻.

Mindful

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”
-Psalm 8:3-4 (ESV)

God created this entire universe- yet his favorite creation is us. What did we do to deserve that? Absolutely nothing. Have we returned the favor like we should? Absolutely not. Will we ever be able to? Never. We are on His on mind ALL THE TIME. If we weren’t on His mind, should He somehow “forget” we wouldn’t be able to exist. “Oops, I forgot about Jim Bob over there in that little country trying to care for some orphans. Oh well, there’s billions more humans- no big deal if I forget a couple of them.” We are His prized possession- even though we are hard hearted, stubborn, arrogant, prideful and a whole lot of other things. Fortunately for us, forgetfulness will never be apart of His character. That’s because He is intentful about us- meanwhile we forget what did 5 mins ago. 😑 Lord, helps us be more intentful about making You the center of our lives. Our lives may be short but You are big!
