11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord." -Jeremiah 29:11-14 (ESV)

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!" -Psalm 37:7If you’re in a waiting season, especially a deep dark season, it’s really hard to be patient. Really hard. You want God to hurry up and dig us out of the trench so we can get back to normal.
But God doesn’t work like that. He’s not primarily concerned about our comfort as He is making us grow and refining us. Patience is a true virtue but learning to obtain that virtue isn’t easy. Like sea turtles, we have 100 or so years to learn. Learn to wait. Learn to serve. Learn to serve in the waiting. MATERIALS: "Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants." -Isaiah 42:10 (ESV) I dream every night but most of the time it’s a rerun. Lately it’s been albino mermaids. It’s on my to do list to draw one now 😍 I just love that the sea is FULLLL of all kinds of creatures that God made each with a purpose and a plan. I’m absolutely fascinated with it! When I think about all the creatures, big and small, shallow and deep, and the planning that God put into these creatures- and some we’ve never even discovered yet- it brings me joy to know that the God who created me is the one who created and takes care all these wonderful animals. Whales. Jellyfish. Octopus. Manta rays. And even that fish way down at the bottom with a light on his head 😂👌🏻 The paint on this is a flat color for the base with @plaidcrafts color shift paint on top! It’s gorgeous and they have so many different colors! Thank you @ribbonzncurlz for turning me onto this! 😘 and there’s some glitter stars at the bottom thanks to double sided tape and floor wax 🙌🏻 MATERIALS:
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God.” -2 Corinthians 6:14-16
"I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands. I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah" -Psalm 143: 5-6 (ESV)I love using coloring pages for art journals! The longest time spent is coloring but you can do that anywhere at anytime. This page probably took 10 mins with a basic blue splattered background and then glued on coloring bits. All of the pieces came from different coloring pages that I pieced together.
I did tape the verse over at the top but when I when I took it off the tape ripped the text off the page (I will not be using that tape again). I printed the verse I was using on a sticker label and it worked perfect! Good reminder if that happens to you! It also works if you want to do a page layout but your idea might cover up the verse you want to use. MATERIALS: |
