"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!" -Psalm 37:7
If you’re in a waiting season, especially a deep dark season, it’s really hard to be patient. Really hard. You want God to hurry up and dig us out of the trench so we can get back to normal.
But God doesn’t work like that. He’s not primarily concerned about our comfort as He is making us grow and refining us.
Patience is a true virtue but learning to obtain that virtue isn’t easy. Like sea turtles, we have 100 or so years to learn. Learn to wait. Learn to serve. Learn to serve in the waiting.
